"It's Aliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiive!"

Experience??
I'll be totally honest, years ago, when the social potential of "the interwebs" was just gaining momentum, I started a blog. And like many other wet behind the ears, self important, enthusiasts (a nice way of saying recent college graduate) I filled kb after kb of space with unimportant, uninteresting rambles that would contribute less to the sphere of global content, than lolcats. And while THAT puts things in perspective, eh, it was the beginnings of LJ popularity and the thing to do.  It wasn't long after starting on blogger that the realization hit that I had very, very little that even I cared to write about.  And I make no guarantees that this will be any different. I don't fancy myself a "writer" by any stretch - the perceived guidelines of "having something worth saying" and "writing what you know" have always left me feeling a bit like Ralph Wiggum - anticipating sleep so I can be a viking.

So why now? Well, since it appears that I have creepy, stalker like career deja vu, and can't seem to get away from Sports media, I might as well have some fun with it. Currently I'm working for both the University of Pennsylvania's Sports Network, and on a weekly Football internet radio show, neither of which really cater to my favorite sports so the intention here, is to write to those, while also "recapping" what's going on there-of a sort.

Like a Politician
Let me be clear, I am a Philadelphia fan tried and true.   From pretzels to cheesesteaks (not cheese wiz fellas), to the love/hate relationship I have with this city's players  (referring to them as "a  bum" while still cheering them on.)  However I want to focus more on the SPORTS that I love, so my goal is to cover all teams in the NHL and MLB including the minor leagues.  I might even mention an English League or two along the way *cough*goLiverpool *cough* (cut me some slack though, I can't afford a subscription to Fox Soccer/Plus) Meanwhile I'll throw in the occasional "Poutperri for 200 Alex" with some "randoms".
